Calf Augmentation Surgery
About Calf Augmentation
Many are not satisfied with the shape of their calves. Calf enlargement, or calf implants, is a surgical procedure using silicone implants to increase calf size and help shape the calves according to the desired situation. In addition to the leg region deformities, skews, and delicacies, it is sometimes made for the appearance of muscular calves.
Before the surgery
Taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements should be avoided, as this may increase bleeding.
Operation Process
In surgery, fat injection or generally silicone prostheses can be used. In calf augmentation surgeries under general anesthesia, prostheses are placed between the calf muscles and the skin. This surgical operation is performed under general anesthesia. Regional spinal anesthesia or local anesthesia can also be used. Calf augmentation usually takes an hour and a half. Planning and placement are critical.
After Surgery
After the operation, the patient should remain at rest for a few days and keep the legs high from the ground, reducing swelling. After 3 weeks, the patient gains a more natural walk. It is possible to do all the activities of the patient after 1-2 months.
