Postbariatric Surgery
About Postbariatric Surgery
Many undesirable deformations occur in the body of overweight people in the process of getting rid of these weights. Flabbiness and loose may occur in almost every part of the body, face, neck, breasts, arms, hips, groin and thighs. It is observed that excess skin hangs downward in the abdomen. Post-bariatric surgery/body contouring operations bring the body back to the desired form, allowing patients who overcome obesity to achieve their desired body shape.
Operation Process
It is not possible to complete the post-bariatric surgery that the whole body will need in one session. Operation planning is made by creating a patient-specific combination for these body shaping surgeries. In this surgery performed under general anesthesia; facelift, arm lift, chest lift, butt lift and plump, abdominal, back and waist lift, leg lift operations are performed in a certain order. A certain amount of time is allowed by your doctor to recover between each operation session. Sometimes revision surgeries may be necessary after the completion of these operations.
Postoperative
After post-bariatric body shaping surgeries, the patient is recommended to stay in the hospital for 1-2 nights. It is also recommended by experts to wear corsets for the operation area. The incision scars opened in the post-bariatric body shaping operation are stored in an area that will remain in the underwear. The scars on the arms and legs are also hidden on the inner surfaces. Operation scars will improve over time, but it is not completely eliminated.
