Thigh Lift Surgery
About Thigh Lift Surgery
Excessive skin and fat accumulation occur in the thigh (butt-gluteal region) after aging, hereditary factors or weight loss. With thigh aesthetics, the thighs are made to look firmer, lighter and more upright. This method, which is performed only surgically and consists of liposuction and fat removal, should not be confused with “Brazilian type butt lifting surgery” that provides volume to the thigh by transferring fat or using a prosthesis.
Who are the candidates suitable for butt lift surgery?
- If you have looseness in your thigh, sagging skin and extra fat tissue,
- If you are close to your ideal weight but have recently lost weight,
- If excess skin and adipose tissue bothers you and prevents you from moving, you may be a suitable candidate for thigh lift surgery.
Operation Process
Thigh lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia. It usually takes 3-6 hours. Plastic small tubes called drains are placed as a safety precaution to remove fluids that may accumulate inside after the operation. Drains are removed after 1-2 days. The patient must stay overnight in the hospital. The patient returns to his normal life within 2-3 weeks. It may take several more months for a full recovery and thigh shape to form.
In general, as with any surgical procedure, there is an indistinct scar hiding in the upper hip or lower groove of the hip according to the method applied. If proper scar care is performed, these marks will not be at a level to bother the patient.
Postoperative
The permanence of thigh lift surgery is long-lasting. As with many surgeries, factors such as weight loss, pregnancy, and aging will affect your body and therefore the results of your hip lift surgery. If you live a healthy life and avoid frequent weight loss, you can enjoy a beautifully shaped hip that your surgery will provide for a long time.
